Who is Nena Brockhaus?

Born in 1992, Nena Brockhaus studied in Maastricht and trained at the renowned Georg von Holtzbrinck School of Journalism. At the age of 26, she landed her first SPIEGEL bestseller with “Unfollow.” Today, with five SPIEGEL bestsellers to her name, she is one of Germany’s most successful young authors. This was followed by “Pretty Happy,” “Ich bin nicht grün” and “Alte WEISE Männer”. Her book “Mehr Geld als Verstand” went straight to number 1 on the SPIEGEL bestseller list in 2025.

She became known nationwide as a presenter on the political talk show “Viertel nach Acht” on BILD. Since November 10, 2025, she has been hosting her own show on WELT TV, “Meinungsfreiheit mit Nena Brockhaus”, in which she leads political and economic debates with prominent guests three times a week. At the same time, she has been writing the weekly column “Nena und die andere Meinung” for FOCUS Online since March 2024.

She regularly appears as a political commentator on programs such as Maischberger, ZDF heute – 13 Fragen, and Stern TV. Her style? Direct, courageous, opinionated – a conscious antithesis to the consensus-oriented mainstream.
