Peter Fischer – Entrepreneur & Speaker on Values, Leadership, and Responsibility
Peter Fischer shaped Eintracht Frankfurt like no other. Since his election as president in August 2000, he not only guided the traditional club through challenging times in terms of sporting performance, but also transformed it into a strong, values-based community with a large membership base. In his role, he was a member of the supervisory board and, from 2005, deputy chairman of Eintracht Frankfurt Fußball AG.
Fischer was as versatile as he was committed in his business ventures: he founded a communications agency, ran fashion boutiques, produced films, and built both a beach club and a hotel complex in Ibiza. He is also an author and management consultant.

With over two decades at the helm of Eintracht Frankfurt, Peter Fischer stands for continuity, integrity, and commitment like no other. For him, it was never just about sporting success – although the 2018 DFB Cup victory and the 2022 UEFA Cup triumph are also part of his tenure. Rather, it is his consistent commitment to democracy, tolerance, and social responsibility that has earned him widespread recognition – including the Buber-Rosenzweig Medal in 2022.
When Fischer took office, the club was at a sporting low point – including relegation from the Bundesliga and the near loss of its license status. Today, Eintracht Frankfurt has over 130,000 members in more than 50 sports – a success story that is also based on Fischer’s closeness to fans and active members. He was always approachable, combative, and present – as the voice, face, and backbone of the club.
His social commitment goes far beyond soccer. Peter Fischer sees clubs as responsible institutions and uses his voice to take a firm stand against racism, right-wing extremism, and intolerance. His values are not just words – they are a lived attitude.
In February 2024, Peter Fischer was appointed Honorary President of Eintracht Frankfurt. As a speaker and discussion partner, he continues to be available for appearances, panel discussions, and keynotes – always clear in his stance, passionate in his presentation, and credible in his message.
