Who is Ralf Schumacher?

Ralf Schumacher was born in Hürth in 1975 and grew up in the world of motorsport – his path led him early on to the family’s kart track in Kerpen, where he took the wheel at the age of three. As the younger brother of Michael Schumacher, he shaped an era of German motorsport together with him. But Ralf always went his own way: in 1992, he won the German Junior Karting Championship, laying the foundation for an extraordinary career.

After stints in Formula BMW and Formula 3 – with victories in prestigious races such as the Macau Grand Prix – Ralf attracted international attention in 1996 with a sensational title win in the Japanese Formula Nippon. This was followed by his entry into Formula 1, where he made his debut for Jordan in 1997 and finished on the podium in only his third race. During his years with Williams from 1999 to 2004, he celebrated six Grand Prix victories, including a legendary one-two finish in France in 2003. He later drove for Toyota and ended his F1 career in 2007 with a total of 180 race starts.

But Ralf Schumacher is much more than a former racing driver. After his Formula 1 career, he drove in the DTM for five years, became co-owner and managing partner at Mücke Motorsport, and has since been heavily involved in promoting young talent in racing. His entrepreneurial activities combine technological innovation, talent development, and strategic expertise.
